Inside Pictures scheme offers career boost for UK film executives

Inside Pictures, a new scheme enabling UK film executives to develop a greater understanding of the business of film in the global market, was launched on Monday March 4.
Supported by the Film Council's Training Fund and the British Film Office in LA and run by Kuhn & Co, the project offers 12 ambitious executives and producers the chance to expand their knowledge of the inner workings of the film industry through a series of special workshops taking place throughout this year in London and Los Angeles. The topics covered will incorporate the understanding of the film business, the US market and general film and business skills.
There will be several consultancy sessions where leading industry professionals will offer advice and guidance to the candidates. Among the speakers will be: David Ellender, Fremantle International Distribution; David Garrett, Summit Entertainment; Lyn Goleby, City Screen; David Kosse, Momentum Pictures; Gareth Wigan, Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group; Tim Bevan, Working Title Films; Cameron McCracken, Pathé Pictures; Dennis Davidson, DDA; Andrew Cripps, UIP; Premila Hoon, Société Générale; Stewart Till, Signpost Films; Peter Smith, Universal Pictures International; Patrick McKenna, Ingenious Media; Liza Chasin, Working Title; Rick Finklestein, Universal Pictures; John Byrne, Dorsey & Whitney; David Livingstone, Universal Pictures International; Paul Webster, FilmFour; Michael Kuhn, Kuhn & Co; and John Woodward, the Chief Executive Officer at the Film Council.
The deadline for applications is April 5.
