PIXEL POWER UNVEIL NEW FEATURES TO COLLAGE 2

PIXEL Power have unveiled a suite of new features for its Collage 2 range of character generators at IBC 2001.
Featuring dual Power PC processors and multiple pixel processors, Collage 2 is the fastest proprietary broadcast character generator and graphics system available.
This second major software update for Collage 2 adds real time pushbacks, where a live input can be zoomed down revealing a static or animated background, real time 3D DVE object tracking and multiple animation layers for cells, clocks and real-time 3D objects. Language support has been further enhanced with several built-in entry methods for both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. And to make Collage 2 even easier to use an Online manual and context sensitive help have been added.
Pixel Power's Commercial Director James Gilbert said: "Since its launch at IBC a year ago Collage 2 has won over many broadcasters with its blistering performance and the reliability of its proprietary hardware. Pixel Power's philosophy of adding significant new features in software gives users variety and flexibility to generate trend leading graphics, realizing the full benefit of their investment in the latest technology".
Leveraging the very latest technologies, Collage 2 claims performance between 5 and 10 times faster than competing systems.
Supplied as a complete turnkey system or as an upgrade to any existing Collage system, the Collage 2 range provides tight integration of character generation, still store, painting and graphics capabilities. Collage 2 also has a number of options that enable the system to be configured to meet customers' specific operational, technical and budgetary requirements.
The Collage 2 range can import and play out graphics from Quantel, Aston and Chyron as well as support a variety of PC file formats including TIFF, TARGA, CGM, EBU, and ASCII. Network file sharing is possible via both NFS and FTP. Collage 2 uses native Truetype and Postscript fonts giving easy access to an enormous range of typefaces. (CD)
