QVC BUYS FIRST COLLAGE 2 FROM PIXEL POWER

QVC, one of the UK’s main shopping channels, have recently taken delivery of their first Collage 2 character and graphics generator from Pixel Power.
With nine Collage systems already installed in London, QVC broadcasts live from Marco Polo House in Battersea, 17 hours a day, 365 days a year, reaching over 8.5 million digital and analogue cable and satellite homes throughout the UK.
Collage 2 incorporates a new processing engine, which has dual Power PC CPUs and multiple pixel processors, giving unprecedented speed and flexibility.
Alan Davies, Senior Systems Engineer for QVC, said: “The graphic equipment from Pixel Power helps keep the station live 17 hours a day. We particularly like Collage 2 because it does everything we want it to do, it’s fast, has logical menus and is definitely value for money. We certainly hope this purchase of the Collage 2 will be the first of many.”
Collage 2 places proven Collage character generator and graphics tools on an entirely new dedicated hardware platform.
The Pixel Power Collage 2 character and graphics generator was launched at IBC.
