Encoda Systems wins landmark deal to supply RTÉ
Encoda Systems, leading global provider of end-to-end broadcast solutions, has won a major contract to supply its sophisticated air-time sales solution, Landmark, to Irish State Broadcaster RTÉ.
Landmark, which is being supplied as part of a long-term contract over five years, will allow RTÉ to optimise sales revenue from its commercial airtime. By managing complex advertising campaigns, Landmark will provide total control over the available inventory, ensuring effective break utilisation at RTÉ.
"Our objective was to find a solution that would allow us to generate the maximum possible value from our air-time," said Paul Mulligan, head of operations sales and marketing at RTÉ. "We invested a significant amount of time and energy to find the best solution to match both our specific requirements and RTÉ's exacting standards.
"Following a rigorous selection process, we chose Landmark. The breadth of the functionality together with the flexibility gives the confidence we needed not just for the short but for the medium to long term."
Landmark's advanced demographic groupings, rate card structures and near time ratings information provide the platform for spot selection and valuation. Based on these parameters, campaigns can automatically be booked ensuring optimum use of the inventory and therefore the greatest campaign worth.
Angelika Bergmann, Encoda's EMEA president, added: "Delivering advantage through air-time sales is critical to success in today's competitive market.
"Landmark, has become the de facto standard in air-time sales management because it has already helped numerous broadcasters capitalise on their most valuable asset: the inventory.
"We are delighted RTÉ will now be able to take advantage of Landmark's sophisticated functionality and the organisation can maximise its commercial profit as a result."
