Landmark Films celebrate raft of international sales

Leading indie Landmark Films is celebrating a raft of international sales through distributor, RDF Rights, including the critically acclaimed 'Strangest Village in Britain', originally broadcast on Channel 4.
Strangest Village in Britain, the groundbreaking 1x60 ob-doc which follows the day-to-day lives of Botton Village’s 200 disabled residents and additional 100 carers, has been purchased by four international broadcasters.
In addition, Landmark’s series of three 1x60 'Extraordinary Illnesses' programmes originally broadcast on Channel 5, have each been sold to a range of high-profile international channels. The programmes include 'My Muscles Turned Against Me', which follows the heartbreaking story about mother and daughter Dystonia sufferers, '100 Orgasms A Day' which investigates the devastating effect of living in a continuous state of sexual arousal, and 'Obsessions Run My Life', which follows the complicated lives of three OCD sufferers.
Nick O'Dwyer, Managing Director of Landmark Films, commented: “These latest sales figures demonstrate the power of original documentary film making. It also shows that stories about human situations and real people can cross borders and have real international appeal.”
