Kevin Godley and Rushes create 'Haven' promo

A graceful promo for Haven has been directed by Kevin Godley for production company MJZ and posted at Rushes.
The promo, opens with lights flickering across a city landscape. The lead singer, Gary Briggs, is being lovingly caressed by unknown hands as his mind drifts between the city night and the woman in his thoughts, whom unseen hands are also caressing. In the city below, the headlamps of speeding cars glisten and the traffic flashes past. Silhouettes of the band members appear and rays of dazzling lights illuminate the band as they stand on top of the buildings, the lights go off across the skyscrapers as the promo comes to the end.
Rushes producer Carl Grinter said: "The promo utilises layered cross dissolves, which use the changing lighting on the performances to bring in and out images of the city and create transitions between the lead singer and the woman in his thoughts. The style produces a fluid journey through the promo, with overlays of lighting passes used to characterise it's dreamy quality".
Formed just over seven years ago after a chance meeting in a Penzance record shop, by 1999 Haven had relocated to Manchester.
Two years later they released their debut single, followed in February 2002 by their first album. 'Wouldn¹t Change A Thing', is the first single from their forthcoming Johnny Marr / Dave Eringa produced album 'Between The Senses'.
