STRONG LINE UP FOR 'PROJECTOR' ANIMATION EVENT
THERE'S a strong line up of world class animation for the 'Projector' one-day animation event on November 29 in Glasgow.
Included in the two hour-long screenings are the hilarious 'For the Birds'; Oscar-nominated 'Rejected' and 'The Monk and the Fish'; as well as jewels created closer to home such as Elizabeth Hobb's 'Emperor' and Campbell McAllister's 'Wrong Turn'.
The event's organisers said: “Some of the films are funny, some are dark; some hand drawn, others computer generated - the styles and stories are mixed, but common to all is that crucial, elusive hook that draws you in and spits you out afterwards; energised, stimulated and motivated to get animating.”
The guest speakers are Helen Nabarro, Executive Producer at the BBC's Animation Unit; Steve McIntyre, Chief Executive Officer for Scottish Screen; Jerry Hibbert, Creative Director of Hibbert Ralph Animation and Campbell McAllister, who won the BAFTA New Talent Award last year for Best Animation.
