Kuwait Television purchase multiple Leitch editing systems

Kuwait Television recently purchased several Leitch VelocityQ multi-stream non-linear editing systems for their news department, as well as the Velocity dual-stream non-linear editing system.
Kuwait Television, the leading news broadcaster in Kuwait, provide around-the-clock news bulletins and have used a Leitch Velocity system to handle all news headlining and news promo programmes.
"We have used a Leitch Velocity system for the past three years, and we found it fast and easy to use for work in the news environment," said Nader Khorshid, a graphic designer in the Kuwait TV news department. The new Leitch systems offer the highest performance available, providing all news editors and graphic designers simultaneous access to the required media for collaboration on news stories.
Ahmad Al-Meshal, head of the editing facilities at Kuwait Television News Department, added: "After extensive evaluation we found that the Leitch VelocityQ was the only system to offer true real-time operation, simultaneously providing four streams of uncompressed video and six graphics layers, all of which are critical for the demands of a modern news operation."
The complete installation includes the Leitch VelocityQ systems with SDI option and standard data sharing network. Each system is connected to 400GB RAID system for video storage.
