Williams Editing install Final Cut Pro 4

Williams Editing have installed Apple’s latest Final Cut Pro 4 Cinewave system, described as one of the most exciting professional editing systems yet.
With uncompressed resolution it can be used as a fast high-end Online tool, integrated with Shake and combustion.
One of Williams' editors, Christophe Williams, also uses FCP4 on a G4 laptop on location. A live feed from the camera is fed into the laptop allowing spontaneous compositing and editing decisions to be made.
Williams recently completed major TV campaigns for Nescafe, Renault and BP, using this system. The Nescafe commercial was shot in Australia, all the line-ups were checked and immediately edited. Williams was then able to fine tune and view further rushes with the director on a plane at 32,000 feet. The complexity of the Renault commercial again needed editing and compositing on location. It was a three-day shoot in Spain with presentation of the edit in Germany just two days later. Williams managed to select and edit on location, from his hotel room and on aeroplanes for the given presentation date in Cologne.
Projects are seamlessly uploaded into the FCP suite back in Williams Editing Soho base and ready for fine tuning. This system on location, with its speed, flexibility and quality can save wasting unnecessary shooting time and money.
