Video Rescue demo Global Studio field editing system

Reading-based Apple Reseller Video Rescue has demonstrated the power and flexibility of its Global Studio system at Video Forum.
Designed to provide “a home away from home, a studio in the field, wherever that might be,” Global Studio offers the speed of RealTime with online and offline editing capabilities, based around Apple’s award winning Final Cut Pro software, PowerBook G4 laptop and Pinnacle’s CineWave.
Video Rescue appear to have covered all the bases; connectivity, power management, rugged construction and portability and with a docked PowerBook, Global Studio offers the kind of facilities previously reserved for desktop users.
Using the CineWave engine allows the Global Studio to edit uncompressed video from all sources, incorporating the extensive RealTime capabilities of arguably the most powerful board on the market to create a true online finishing suite in the field.
Completed pieces can be played back to air, tape or compressed for store and forward transmissions through iSDN, sat-phone or DSL. Global Studio can also stream live or edited footage to the web, while the use of uncompressed video capture allows for ultra-clear compression compared with other compressed field editing systems.
Global Studio is supplied with a range of options, from design to connectivity, allowing the unit to be tailored to individual needs.
