Planet Video Launch Cinematic 2K HD Editing On A Laptop

Planet Video Systems announced the launch of the world's first Laptop based Cinematic 2K HD1080p Video Editing System at VideoForum 2007.
Using an Apple MacBook Pro together with a ProAVIO Editbox 10 RAID with and Expresscard eSATA Raid Controller interface, it's now possible to edit 2K Cinematic HD1080 on a Laptop.
The ingenious new RAID system uses ultra fast SATA300 drives.
Up to 10 drives can be connected providing up to 7500GB of storage with a sustained read/write speed of over 500MB/second. The drives are hot swappable and can be used as a convenient archive media at a lower cost than tape based backup systems.
The EditBOX RAIDS are 24 times faster than firewire and can also be used on Mac or PC desktop computers providing up to 15000GB of storage at up to 9.6Gigabits/second (virtually the same performance as 10Gigabit fibrechannel systems) at a fraction of the cost. Dropped frames can now be a thing of the past.
