Wales Screen Commission appoints new co-ordinator

Wales Screen Commission (WSC) have appointed Mike Wallwork as their new co-ordinator, tasked with promoting Wales as an attractive film location.
Mr Wallwork, who set up the Mid-Wales Film Commission four years ago, is well-known in the industry and has attracted many film projects to the country.
"I am delighted to be taking on this new role, which will offer me many new exciting challenges. I look forward to working to develop the Wales Screen Commission and to making Wales a more friendly country for film-making."
Mr Wallwork will be flying off to Los Angeles to make the case for Wales as a destination for film projects at the Locations Trade Show next week, which is one of the main events in the film-making calendar.
The WSC is co-ordinated Sgrin, Media Agency for Wales, and is one of three commissions representing Welsh interests in the film industry.
Berwyn Rowlands, Chief Executive of Sgrin, said: "With film like Catherine Zeta Jones's 'Coming Out' set to be filmed in Wales in the coming months, it is vitally important that we have one point of contact for film-makers, and an effective body which will let film-makers get the best from our wealth of beautiful scenery and highly-proficient crews."
