Straight 8 call for entrants

Following the huge success of Straight 8 at the Cannes Film Festival, Straight 8 are have announced details of the next instalment, Straight 8 Autumn 2003.
Once again Straight 8 need entries from brave filmmakers who are not intimidated by the strict rules that apply. You will be shooting your three minute twenty second epic in black and white, using Kodak tri-x reversal film. No editing is allowed and the cartridge containing the film must be handed in, exposed but undeveloped, with a 3-minute soundtrack burnt onto CD. All sound must be original or copyright cleared. The deadline for entries is Thursday July 31.
You are allowed to shoot between Friday August 8 and Wednesday September 10, which marks the official closing date for submissions.
The premiere of the next 20 Straight 8 films will be at 8.30pm on Thursday 16 October at The Other Cinema in Soho. All the films submitted will be shown.
