Rushes complete a trio of commercials for T-Mobile

T-Mobile have chosen to work with post-production facility Rushes for their latest trio of commercials, 'Rolling Stone', 'Suncream' and 'Frisbee'.
Rolling Stone was developed to support T-Mobile's sponsorship of the European leg of the 'Licks World Tour' this summer and the commercial promotes the use of picture messaging.
Rushes commented: "In Rolling Stone our main challenge was the opening shot of the commercial, which was a complicated piece of action involving several key actors, a violinist, a skater skating by in the background, and our hero. We combined the three components from three separate takes in order to achieve the well timed action in the final shot."
In Suncream Charlie's Angels is re-created in fine style. Holidaymakers, who are clearly enjoying themselves in the sun, squirt each other playfully with suncream to the sound of 'Here Comes the Summer' by the Undertones. The fun is infectious and other tourists soon join in, recreating a western gunfight in a bar and shoot outs by the pool, all with their bottles of tanning lotion.
The tag line reads: 'T-Mobile: What will you start?'
Rushes continued: "In Suncream we placed Charlie's Angels screen savers in each phone shot. In some scenes the sun cream squirts that we photographed were not powerful enough, so in Inferno we added squirts to some of the bottles. Additionally, we added splash marks to a couple of the actors to add to the drama of the overall piece, which we feel worked very well."
In the third of the new commercials, Frisbee, a female employee is sitting in a tedious meeting when a friend sends a holiday photo to her mobile. Inspired by the image and fed up with missing out on the fun, she jumps up from her seat and pulls the clock from the wall. The clock is used as a frisbee and one employee after another catches both the frisbee and the need to subversively skip work. When it reaches the canteen and a senior looking manager joins in, every employee seems to swarm outside and make the most of the sunshine. A Spanish professional frisbee team was drafted in to star in the commercial.
Once again, the tag line reads: 'T-Mobile: What will you start?'
