Miranda SATIS 2012 Preview

Miranda Technologies, provider of integrated solutions for production, playout and delivery systems for television broadcasters and multi-system operators, will feature a broad range of products from Miranda and its Telecast Fiber Systems product family at SATIS 2012, taking place in Paris from 13-15 November.
Miranda’s playout solution will be represented by iTX, an integrated playout platform for linear and on-demand television that features two new graphics options. Users can include Miranda’s highly acclaimed Vertigo XG graphics processor, which provides real-time CG, DVE and graphics capability directly into the iTX output server. Alternatively iTX users can opt to take advantage of the deep integration of Adobe® After Effects rendering in the new iTX Render Service for Adobe After Effects, which provides unlimited graphics and text effects while leveraging the industry’s most powerful and popular graphics authoring environment.
Traditional playout facility managers can discuss the benefits of Miranda's iControl, a highly advanced signal and facility monitoring system that enables operators to instantly review the status of their entire facility and detect, diagnose and initiate repairs. This delivers operational efficiencies while simultaneously ensuring a higher Quality of Experience for viewers.
Richard Couzon, Miranda's commercial director in France, said: "The recent integration of Telecast Fiber Systems, represented by Le Team in France, into Miranda is a welcome addition and a significant benefit to Miranda customers worldwide. We now offer truly glass-to-glass solutions, with state-of-the-art technologies for every link in the broadcast chain."
Fibre applications on show at SATIS include Miranda’s LUMO new high-density fibre converter series and its Telecast CopperHead Camera Transceiver, an HD/SDI and analog fibre optic device that seamlessly multiplexes two-way signals onto a flexible, lightweight fibre cable. Additionally, the Telecast SMPTE Hybrid Elimination Device Adapter (SHED) which enables users to deploy ordinary single mode optical fibre for HD and slow-motion camera links, will be shown with associated HDX camera power unit cables.
For master control room and smaller studio applications, Miranda is featuring the NVISION NV8144 router at SATIS. The NV8144 is part of Miranda’s enterprise-class NV8500 Hybrid router series, which combines exceptional power and resilience with integrated audio processing and simplified cable management. NVISION routing will also be featured alongside the new NV920, an all-new controller designed to provide reliable operation in demanding fixed and mobile broadcast applications from small systems to large-scale applications.
Miranda’s renowned Kaleido-X multiviewers are the industry’s most versatile multi-image display system. In addition to unparalleled image quality, Kaleido-X can be expanded to well over 1000 video inputs and up to 128 multi-image outputs.
For those who need multiviewer capabilities in compact environments, the Kaleido-X16 is a small footprint multiviewer that nevertheless provides 16 inputs, two multiviewer outputs and two router outputs within its compact frame. Miranda also addresses IP-based workflows via the Kaleido-IP, which can be tailored to suit either delivery or playout applications.
Miranda solutions can be explored and discussed on Stand C04 at SATIS 2012.
