Miranda Present Solutions And Tech Talk At CCW 2012

Miranda Technologies, integrated solutions for production, playout and delivery systems for television broadcasters and multi-system operators provider, will feature production and playout solutions from Miranda and the Telecast Fiber Systems family of products at Content and Communications World (CCW), taking place in New York from November 14-15.
The company will demonstrate a range of solutions that help broadcasters maintain efficient workflows that meet their growing needs for quality and scalability.
On the stand at CCW, production professionals will see a demonstration of the NVISION 8500 enterprise class hybrid router series, which offers advanced features such as redundant power supplies, control cards and crosspoints in a range of matrix sizes and form factors. The 8500 series features the new NVISION 8140, which provides a 144 x 288 matrix in an 8RU frame ideal for the space constraints of mobile production and smaller studios — the only router of this size available with integrated audio and video routing in a single chassis. Also on hand will be NVISION control panels and a Kaleido-X multiviewer, the industry’s most flexible, robust multiviewer platform.
The production demo will also include the latest fiber acquisition solutions from Telecast Fiber Systems including the CopperHead 3200 fiber optic camera transceiver and other fiber solutions. The CopperHead conveniently mounts to any camcorder to provide a fiber link to a truck or control room offering a lightweight and efficient means to transport video, audio, data, intercom and even camera control communications using a single easy-to-deploy fiber.
The Miranda iTX Integrated Playout platform is the key focus in Miranda’s playout demonstration. The flexible and scalable iTX playout platform is the most advanced integrated playout platform available and now features a wide range of built-in graphics and branding solutions including the iTX Render Service for Adobe® After Effects®, which provides the ability to take graphics projects created entirely in After Effects CS6 and deliver them, fully finished and ready for playout, to Miranda’s iTX automated playout platform or Vertigo Suite graphics automation and asset management tools.
Visitors can also experience the iTX platform fully integrated with Miranda’s iControl Playout Manager. Using iTX with iControl provides simplified playout monitoring, enabling operators to efficiently and effectively monitor more channels, lowering a broadcaster’s operational costs. The iControl system will drive a content comparison demo on the stand that will show visitors how they can achieve the quality playout they require with the affordability and scalability they desire.
In addition to the on-booth demonstrations, Miranda will also be a featured presenter at CCW’s Tech Talk Theater. Scott Matics, senior product manager for Miranda’s NVISION routers will lead a session titled Modernize Routing Systems Without a Complete Overhaul: An easy migration path to supporting 3GBps/HD routing, which will be held on Wednesday, November 14 from 11:30AM to noon.
Content and Communications World delegates can discuss Miranda and Telecast Fiber Systems products on Booth 1015.
