FT2 Launches National Recruitment For Training Courses

FT2 has launched national recruitment for a series of new training courses funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund and the Skillset TV Freelance Fund.
Sharon Goode, Director of FT2, commented: "These new training initiatives will support the development of fresh and diverse talent for film and television production. We are looking for people keen to develop freelance careers working on feature films, television dramas and factual programmes."
Screen Firsts are a series of distinct new full time apprenticeship-style stranded schemes - preparing new entrants to film and television for junior roles in production, design or technical departments.
Applications are opening for the following strands:
  • Production First (office, continuity or location)
  • Tech First (camera, sound or edit)

  • Grips First (grips apprenticeship scheme)
The closing date for applications to the above strands is 1 June.
Recruitment for Design First (for art, props, makeup and wardrobe) will open on 14 May with a closing date of 22 June.
Check the website for further details. Full information on these strands is available from: www.ft2.org.uk
