Network Electronics launch lower-end solutions

Network Electronics, manufacturers of the Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) transmission system, have launched a complimentary series of cost-effective Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) solutions for lower-end applications.
DWDM, a component of Network's 'flashlink' optical transport platform, is capable of transmitting up to 40 channels of various formats including uncompressed HD-SDI, SDI, DVB-ASI, Gigabit Ethernet and Telco on one strand of fiber. Network Electronics is also the manufacturer of VikinX, a market-leading small and mid-sized router range.
Network Electronics's new CWDM series is comprised of several four and eight-channel systems. The CWDM-540-4ch is a complete four-channel system that includes both the transmitter and receiver side.
The CWDM-540-8ch, an entire eight-channel system, is capable of handling signals up to 540 Mbps. The system includes both the transmitter and receiver side and comes in 4RU on both sides.
In addition, Network has introduced the CWDM-1485-4ch, a full four-channel system including both the transmitter and receiver side capable of transmitting all signals up to 1485 Mbps including HD-SDI.
Network Electronics serves the broadcast, telco and multimedia industries with a range of optical, routing and conversion products featuring a three-year depot warranty, short delivery time, advanced replacement service and large inventory.
Established in 1996, Network is a leader in router technology with over 50,000 routers installed worldwide.
