Network Electronics Announce Partnership with Skyline Communications
Ahead of IBC, Network Electronics, a market leader in optical distribution and Skyline Communications, a provider of the leading multi-vendor network management solution DataMiner, have announced the start of a strategic partnership between the two companies.
Both Network Electronics (Stand 8.270) and Skyline Communications (Stand 1.414) envision a long lasting co-operation enabling customers to build their media networks with the most sophisticated transport equipment and network management software available.
Following its "Simplicity Rules" philosophy, Network Electronics has integrated Skyline Communications DataMiner to provide Network Electronics Flashlink users with easy-to-use yet powerful control functionality.
The Skyline solution also ensures that large installations including both Network Electronics solutions and equipment from third-party vendors can be supported by the innovative and feature-rich DataMiner management system.
"Network Electronics Flashlink was one of the first optical transport product range to provide SNMP control interfaces. Today we have an impressive number of Flashlink deployments around the globe that are able to communicate with a Network Management System via SNMP. By seamlessly integrating the DataMiner network management system with our GYDA system controller, we provide exactly what our customers are looking for: the total control of their media networks through a simple to use and deploy management environment," says Oddbjørn Bergem, Chief Executive Officer, Network Electronics.
"We are very excited about Network Electronics decision to integrate DataMiner with its products offering. This award-winning solution addresses all the network management needs of broadcasters and service providers running Flashlink optical networking equipment for their video services. Network Electronics large installed base and wide experience in the broadcast market opens up interesting market opportunities for our products," said Ben Vandenberghe, Sales & Marketing Director of Skyline Communications.
