Dogus Media Group Moves Up With Two SSL C10 HD Broadcast Consoles

Dogus Media Group, the broadcast division of Turkey’s media/service/construction giant the Dogus Group, a 124-company conglomerate, recently installed two Solid State Logic C10 HD Compact Broadcast Consoles in its newly-consolidated studio facility in Instanbul.
Serving the 24/7 news, sport and entertainment programming needs for NTV, primarily a 24-hour news station, and CNBC-e, a financial news and popular programming station, Dogus Media Group chose the C10 HD to help meet the broadcaster’s expanded media capabilities through its exceptional features and flexibility.
"For the past year, Dogus Media Group has been moving its production facilities which serve seven TV channels and eight radio stations, into one location," said Ms Aysin Yilmaz, Deputy Technical Manager for Dogus Media Group. "The NTV News Cube and CNBC-e 360 studios were the final projects and this is where the C10 consoles were installed. NTV is one of Turkey's most popular news channels broadcasting live news and news-oriented programming around the clock. Affiliated with MSNBC since 2000, the channel is known for straight talking head-type news broadcasts and panel discussion shows. It also airs some sports programmes shared with sister station NTV Spor– mostly covering football games, especially La Liga matches, as well as National Basketball Association (NBA) games.
CNBC-e is a hybrid business/financial and entertainment channel operated jointly by CNBC Europe and the NTV Group. It provides business and economic news during the day with popular international programming in the evening (ranging from SpongeBob SquarePants to Conan and the latest blockbuster movies). Because of this extreme diversity of programming, Yilmaz chose the C10 to keep all aspects of audio production stable. Both consoles offer 32+8 faders with 96 DSP channels, each supported by four Alpha-Link Live and three Alpha-Link 8-RMP microphone input units.
