Sky Appoint New Head Of Factual

Sky has announced the appointment of a new head of factual after the current head announced his departure to start his own independent production company.
Michele Kurland has been bagged the position and will move from her current role as head of factual entertainment at talkbackTHAMES in March.
Kurland joined talkbackThames in 2006 and was later appointed head of factual in 2007. Prior to this she worked for the BBC for over a decade.
The main credits to her name came during the time she oversaw the department that produces The Apprentice, You're Fired!, Junior Apprentice and Can't Take It With You with Gerry Robinson.
Stuart Murphy, director, Sky 1 HD and director of commissioning at Sky is said to be "delighted" that Kurland will join the team in the New Year.
