BSkyB Appoints Mark Sammon As Head Of Factual Entertainment

BSkyB has announced that Mark Sammon has been appointed Head of Factual Entertainment with immediate effect, working across Sky's family of premium entertainment channels Sky1, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic and Sky Arts.
Reporting to Stuart Murphy, Director of Programmes Sky1 HD, Sky Atlantic HD, Sky1, 2 & 3 and Director of Commissioning, Sky Entertainment, Mark joins BSkyB with a valuable wealth of experience from The LIVING TV Group where, as Head of Commissioning, he was responsible for some of the channel's biggest successes including breakout hit Four Weddings, the forthcoming RTS award-winning entertainment series Dating in the Dark, presented by Sarah Harding and Britain's Next Top Model, hosted by supermodel Elle Macpherson. He was also integral in securing Katie Price's high-profile move to Living, to be rebranded Sky Living HD on February 1.

Mark joined The Living TV Group in 2006 from ITV where he was Editor, Network Entertainment working on hits such as Stars in Their Eyes, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and You've Been Framed. Previous to that he was Head of Schedule Strategy for ITV Digital Channels (February 04 - April 05) and Head of Programme Research ITV1 (Sept 97 - Jan 04).
