Boseley appointed Studio Head for Factual and Features

Bridget Boseley has been appointed the new Studio Head for Factual and Features, completing the leadership team for BBC Factual and Learning's nine genre-based multimedia studios.
Boseley was ITV Controller of Factual programmes from June 2003 until January 2006, where she was responsible for commissioning over 100 hours of peak time factual programming a year. She takes up her new role at the BBC in August.
The Features and Formats Studio based in London, produces a range of programmes including established hits like 'Top Gear', 'What Not To Wear', 'Holiday', 'Watchdog', 'Rogue Traders' and 'Crimewatch UK' and new shows like 'Perfection With Heston Blumenthal' for BBC Two and 'Old Dogs New Tricks', featuring Esther Rantzen and Lyn Faulds Wood, for BBC One.
John Willis, BBC Director of Factual and Learning, said: "Bridget has a great track record in intelligent popular factual programming. She will be a great addition to an already successful team. It says a lot for the range and quality of our output that we have attracted someone of Bridget's calibre to the BBC."
Boseley said: "I'm delighted to be returning to the BBC and am really looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that a move back into production presents. The department produces some of the most well known factual titles and my aim is to expand on this success with a range of new output across all BBC channels." (CD/CL)
