Ed Sayers To Open London Short Film Festival

Top directing talent Ed Sayers, who recently signed to leading production company Independent, is to open the New Shorts film selection entitled 'Fucked Up Love' at the London Short Film Festival that runs from 5 - 12 January 2012 with his fantastic short, Goldfish.
Founder of his own cult short film competition, Straight8, Ed is a champion of the short film genre and Goldfish, starring Michael Fassbender, is a perfect example of his innate understanding of the medium.
A wry observation on the decline of a relationship, Goldfish follows two couples as they fall apart, only one of these couples is a pair of goldfish, one of whom provides a pithy commentary ... in Cantonese.
It's a suitably off the wall piece to kick off the London Short Film Festival, now in its 9th year and renowned for its mix of daring cross-arts programming and its support of the country's best raw talent.
