AKA Completes Factory's New Cinema Suite

AKA Design has worked with Factory Studios since their inception in 1997 and has completed all of their audio, editing and reception furniture to date.
Recently AKA has completed the interior design and technical furniture for their new flagship Cinema room.
The cinema room has a Dolby licence to mix commercials and trailers in surround sound, using an Avid D-Control ES Console coupled with Focal Professional monitoring the acoustic design, which was supplied by Whitemark and Oakwood Building Services undertook the construction.
For the first time, AKA has taken the D-Control out of its own frame and inset it into one flowing worktop, giving both the client and operator areas to work whilst keeping their site lines and centralised acoustic position. The combination of polyurethane, leather and Burr Wood were used to give the studio a retro feel and AKA also supplied matching client and voice over tables to complete the suite of studio furniture.
