Encore Fits Out Studios With AKA Design

Post production firm Encore has awarded AKA Design the contract to upgrade two of its main sound studios at its Soho, London facility. Both studios are being fitted with new Avid S6 consoles, which are being supplied by Scrub.

AKA have designed a single large 12ft main desk to integrate the S6 around the operator with additional areas for clients and racking. The design team selected solid and veneered walnut, leather and aluminium.
AKA’s MD, Guy Wilson, said: "I can’t believe it’s been over 12 years since we originally furnished these suites. I’m delighted that Encore have chosen us again to help make these two Post Production studios both technically and visually current for the next 10 years."
Johnny Whitehead Director of Operations said: "The original design of our studios has served us well but we wanted to take this opportunity to freshen up the look and take advantage of the reduction in outboard kit needed to support the new S6 consoles. The clever design work from AKA has given us an updated look as well as maximising client space.
