Regional television conference scheduled for November
This year sees the 10th Anniversary of the "Television from the Nations and Regions" Conference, which is taking place on Wednesday November 27 at The Lowry Centre, in Salford, Manchester.
This is the only conference dedicated to broadcasting from, by and for the nations and regions. It is jointly organised by the University of Salford, and PACT (Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television). The key speakers already confirmed include; Lord David Puttnam, Eileen Gallagher, Kevin Lygo, John McVay, Jane Root and Mark Thompson. Hot on the heels of his 24 hour party people success Tony Wilson will be chairing this years event together with Peter Bazalgette of Endemol UK. The event will take place in the Quays Theatre and there will be a 10th birthday party the evening before in city centre Manchester - the party is open to all delegates attending the conference.
