BBC television regions get Curious

BBC television viewers are currently broadcasting map graphics courtesy of Curious World Maps.
A number of BBC regional television stations have acquired the software, which allows graphics departments to create highly detailed and visually effective maps to illustrate everything from news and sports programming through to educational programmes, documentaries and current affairs.
Curious World Maps is being used to create map illustrations for news stories, which viewers like because it helps place the story in context. Curious World Maps can create maps that incorporate satellite data, enabling designers to zoom in from a map of the world to a single city street.
BBC regional stations that have acquired the software include BBC London, BBC Wales, BBC Nottingham, BBC Birmingham, BBC South East, BBC Bristol and BBC Southampton.
