Bomb Hoaxes Panic At RTÉ

Panic spilled through RTÉ studios after the Irish channel's Afternoon Show was subject to two anonymous callers phoning in bomb threats to the Montrose studios.
The news only emerged several days after the incident which left staff on the show - which is hosted by Maura Derrane and Sheana Keane - shaken by the hoax calls to members of the research team.
Gardaí were called to the scene shortly after lunchtime on Wednesday 10th March in order to declare the locality safe.
Searches of the studio were carried out by the national broadcaster's security team along with a number of gardai before the daily programme could be allowed go to air.
A spokesperson for the show said: "RTE can confirm that two hoax calls were received today, Wednesday 10 March, claiming that a bomb had been set in RTE.
"RTE Security, accompanied by Gardai, implemented a pre-existing emergency plan. Evauations were unnecessary and transmission was unaffected."
Those working on the show were sad to have been unnerved by the calls, especially as the two separate threats came together in such close proximity.
An investigation is now underway as to where the hoax bomb threat calls originated from.
