BBC Post Production complete Wessex Water campaign

BBC Post Production - Bristol Design have built on the success of their two award-winning TV campaigns for Wessex Water with the latest series of TV and radio commercials designed to help customers identify bogus callers.
This campaign aims to address a new section of Wessex Water's customer base, and convey a very important message: be aware of bogus callers - criminals who often pose as utility officials in order to gain entry into homes and steal valuables. As research has shown that most victims are elderly, the campaign has been designed to address the over 65 age group.
"The creative challenge with Bogus Callers was retaining the brand personality of the previous campaigns, while communicating a serious message to an older audience. We have retained the visual language of previous work, but have portrayed Dave as more thoughtful. Moreover, he takes direction from an older character." says Christopher Vass, Design Director at BBC Post Production - Bristol Design.
Marilyn Smith, Head of PR, Wessex Water adds "The focus groups we attended on Bogus Callers showed that senior citizens do not see themselves as victims, and we felt it was vital to reflect this, and to emphasise that customers have control over who they do or don't let into their homes".
