Raw Cut Launches Online Crime Video Archive
An independent production company has unveiled its new online archive featuring over 100 hours of original programming.
Featuring video clips of police pursuits, CCTV of antisocial behaviour and workers behaving badly, the archive is searchable by keyword to make it easy for researchers to find stories and order masters.
The archive is based on Raw Cut’s existing library of footage and clips sourced from the internet and offline archives by the company’s network of footage researchers around the world.
Over 100 unusual clips have been chosen to launch the archive, with more clips added every week. An upcoming addition is Raw Cut’s library of police car and helicopter shots.
Potential buyers of the footage include television production companies worldwide, corporate and TV commercial production companies and advertising agencies looking for memorable clips for viral campaigns and Hollywood feature film producers.
Bill Rudgard, Managing Director of Raw Cut, said: "This is a great opportunity to make use of this valuable asset and provide interested parties with an easy method to view and buy footage. We have already licensed clips to Hollywood production companies and think the unique nature of this material will prove useful to producers in all markets looking for just the right clip."
He concluded: "We are committed to expanding and building this archive into a world-leading resource and want to work with the rights holders of other clips to help them distribute and license their clips."
