Bradley Engineering Takes To The Waves With Elipticam At IBC 2009

Bradley Engineering, the foremost manufacturer of fully integrated, unique, remote camera solutions, has unveiled Elipticam, a HD remote camera for competitive yacht racing at IBC.
Fitted to the yacht's boom, the camera delivers stunning and dynamic live or recorded images from the thick of the action.
An innovative development of the dome camera, Elipticam overcomes previous limitations of this type of design. The camera can tilt above and below the horizon without being eclipsed by the casing and can produce both wide angles and individual close-ups of crew members as they are racing, offering a unique perspective and greatly enhancing viewers' enjoyment of this highly competitive sport.
Features include:
  • HD/SD switchable
  • Radio controlled
  • 360 degree pan, +30 to -100 tilt
  • Zoom, Iris, Focus and CCU control
  • Waterproof
  • Small & lightweight - only 1.5kg
David Bradley, CEO of Bradley Engineering, commented: "Competitive yacht racing is a thrilling adrenaline ride. With Elipticam, the viewer can experience the highs and lows as the crews' battle the waves to the all important finish line. We tested the camera during Cowes week and it fully lived up to all expectations."
