Award-Winning Mixer Robert Farr Joins LipSync

A leading Soho post-production facility, LipSync, has announced that it has appointed Robert Farr to join its acclaimed sound department as Re-Recording Mixer, working on a combination of television and film projects.
Farr's most recent work has been as a freelance re-recording mixer on film projects including Mike Leigh's award-winning Happy Go Lucky and the forthcoming Terry Gilliam film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
Prior to this, he spent 14 years at Goldcrest Sstudios, where he worked on television projects including HBO and Hallmark productions and films including Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
In 2008 Farr won the Conch Award for Best Film Soundtrack for his work on Happy Go Lucky. He is also the recipient of six Motion Picture Sound Editor (MPSE) awards and nominations, for films including The Fisher King, Gangs of New York and Tideland.
Farr said: "LipSync has a very good reputation in the industry, I have only heard good things about the sound department and the facility, so I am very excited to join them. LipSync's increasing involvement at the production stage also means that we can get involved in projects right from the start, which is a great treat for me."
Alasdair MacCuish, Managing Director, LipSync, said: "We are delighted that Robert has joined our sound department. His credit list speaks for itself, and his considerable talent will be put to good use on our growing slate of forthcoming television and film projects."
