October Films Rude Tube

October Films has received a new commission from Channel 4 to produce a one-hour, New Year special of Rude Tube.
The move follows the success of Rude Tube 2008 and the 6 x 30 series produced for E4 in November.
Presented by Alex Zane, the new programme will count down 50 of the most popular viral clips from the last year.
Rude Tube 2009 offers viewers an all-new top 50, offering a unique insight into the online 'heroes' who sing badly, dance terribly, and rant to webcams worldwide.
The programme includes exclusive interviews with the people who have made and starred in some of the world's most outrageous and bizarre viral clips.
The original Channel 4 Rude Tube (January 2008) peaked with viewing figures of 3.1m and the latest E4 series secured a 650,000 viewer average on its first run.
Adam Bullmore, Creative Director at October Films, said: "Rude Tube has proved itself to be a very successful and enduring brand for viewers on both channels. October Films is delighted to be producing this one-off special for Channel 4's New Year schedule.
"It promises to be funnier, ruder and more enjoyable than ever," he said.
Rude Tube 2009 is an October Films production for Channel 4 commissioned by Liam Humphreys. The special will be produced by Jos Cushing and executive produced by Adam Bullmore for October Films. Rude Tube 2009 airs on Friday 2nd January on Channel 4 at 22:15.
