Rushes Post New Food Brand Look What We Found!
UK post-production and special effects company Rushes has just completed post on this ad spot for new quality food brand Look What We Found!.
The advert, created by directorial duo WHO (Liam Kan and Grant Hodgson at Great Guns) with East Creatives Dave Brown and Dave Green, is a fun and quirky reportage style commercial following the spoof annual Northern event of Fridge Racing.
During the event, competitors race their now redundant fridges downhill like toboggans and at the finish line are served a portion of Look What We Found! Hot Pot, from this new range of fresh food that is packaged in such a way it doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
The commercial was graded by Rushes' Colourist Simone Grattarola using the URSA scanner with the Da Vinci 2K plus colour corrector.
Simone comments: "Our da Vinci 2K can be hooked up to the spirit or the Ursa, thanks to the all-round genius of our engineers. Shot on a mixture of negative and reversal the Ursa was the way to go for the retro feel and enabled us to play around with creating flares and film jumps in the telecine gate itself."
Rushes' Flame Artist Leo Weston undertook clean ups of the wheeled fridges, some compositing and finishing of the commercials over five days to complete this charming, retro view of British eccentricity, food and culture.
