Shevlot Made VP At da Vinci
A provider of color enhancement and image restoration systems, da Vinci Systems, has announced the appointment of a new Vice President Global Sales, Rob Shevlot.
"Rob's wealth of experience and understanding of the industry will help drive continued worldwide expansion of da Vinci's award-winning products," said Bill Robertson, General Manager of da Vinci Systems.
"Rob's proven ability to recruit high-performing salespeople, expand into new markets, and establish relationships with industry leaders will help us continue to increase our presence in post-production facilities worldwide."
Before joining da Vinci, Mr Shevlot served as Director Global Sales for JDSU's Digital Video IP Specialist Group. Before that, he was director of sales for Enseo, a leading provider of Digital Media Engines for multi-channel MPEG video playback, and served as the director of sales for Vela, a manufacturer of broadcast-quality standard and high-definition MPEG video encoders and decoders.
Shevlot has assumed the position vacated by Peter Glassberg, who served in this role for 18 years and retired from da Vinci to pursue other opportunities.
"On behalf of the entire da Vinci team, I'd like to extend our sincere thanks to Peter for his outstanding leadership and effort in helping to make da Vinci the industry leader it is today," Robertson said.
"Peter will be sincerely missed, and we'd like to wish him well in his future endeavors."
Shevlot will be based at da Vinci's headquarters in Coral Springs, Fla., and will report directly to Robertson.
da Vinci Systems, a JDSU company, is the leading provider of color enhancement and image restoration products used in post-production facilities worldwide. Incorporating the company's Emmy Award-winning technology, da Vinci's products support SDTV, HDTV, data, and digital film.
Since the introduction of the company's first color corrector in 1984, da Vinci has been a front-runner in the field of image enhancement, shaping color enhancement into the vital role it holds in post-production.
