Tern South Commissioned To Produce 'Diamond Geezers' For ITV

Independent production company Tern South has announced that it has received its first commission from ITV1 to produce 'The Diamond Geezers', a 1x60 minute documentary which tells the story of the thwarted Millennium Dome diamond robbery.
In 2000, a gang hatched a plan to steal the world's largest perfect diamond from the Millennium Dome and make their getaway by speedboat up the River Thames.
In a plot worthy of a James Bond movie, they came close to getting their hands on millions, but it was snatched from under them by a daring police operation.
The documentary will explore the truth behind the attempted robbery and the ensuing multi-million pound police investigation - from the crime's conception and execution to the notorious trial and appeal.
Harry Bell, Creative Director of Tern Television, said: "'The Diamond Geezers', Tern's first commission for ITV1, is a radical new departure for us and a fantastic example of how we are moving forward as a company.
"It's also a great coup for Miranda Peters, who heads Tern South, winning her first commission so soon after her appointment."

Tern has managed to get all the senior detectives to speak on camera, as well as unearthing fascinating police surveillance footage, which has never been seen before."
'The Diamond Geezers' was commissioned by Jeff Anderson for ITV1. The series will be produced and directed by Tom Whitter and executive produced by Harry Bell and Miranda Peters for Tern Television.
It will be distributed by BBC Worldwide.
