'The Big Pitch' Wins Viral Filmmaking Competition
Anthony James of Panik Attak Productions has won the Members Prize in the Movie Mogul Fund viral filmmaking competition for his entry, ‘The Big Pitch’.
The film won by just 3 members votes in a very close race with Pavel Petchko’s advert ‘Don’t Dream It’, which won the Jury Prize and will be developed into a fully fledged advertising campaign for Movie Mogul Fund.
Anthony received the prize cheque of £1,000 today. He said: "I’m well chuffed to have won such a close race. The last two weeks especially have been manic as friends and I have campaigned hard to get the votes in.
"The winnings will be used to pay everyone involved in making the virals ‘The Big Pitch’ and ‘The A Bit Bigger Pitch’. The win is also very important as we’re preparing to approach potential investors for the feature film ‘Simon Said’, so a win this year will further our credibility.”
The Movie Mogul Fund is an innovative initiative, striving to create a user-generated film fund for micro budget movies.
John Shackleton, Director of Movie Mogul Ltd, explained: “For as little as £5, members will soon be able to invest in a feature-film project and enjoy their share of the profits should that movie be successful. We will be running further competitions and online ‘experiments’ in the near future as we continue to expand our online community and create fresh opportunities for new talent to shine.”
