IBC To Offer Free Master Classes And Screening Events

IBC 2007 will offer a number of free keynote, master class and screening events, which means that some of the best things at this year's convention are open to all IBC attendees.
Free master classes will explore a variety of subjects, ranging from the video effects creation for 'Doctor Who' to how leading cinematographers divide the creation of their projects between traditional and digital workflows. Other free master classes to be offered will look at digital cinema, and how 3-D filmmaking and digital technology are transforming Hollywood.
Free screenings at IBC2007 will include 'Ratatouille', a showcase from the BBC Natural History Unit and music from The Who, The White Stripes and U2.
Three special free sessions entitled 'What Caught My Eye', covering budget production, digital cinematography and archive and asset management, will present speakers to discuss the latest technologies being shown in each category and will include tips on finding specific products on the exhibition floor.
Other free features to be offered include the IBC Keynote address from Consumer Electronics Association CEO and President Gary Shapiro, and business briefings on mobile TV, IPTV and digital signage.
