Silverspace Use Autodesk Maya 3D Modelling Animation To Create 'Perpetuum Mobile'
Alava-based animation studio Silverspace, used Autodesk’s Maya 3D modelling animation software to create the animated short film, Perpetuum Mobile.
Perpetuum Mobile also has been shortlisted for an award at Siggraph, which takes place August 2007 in San Diego.
Silverspace chose to use Autodesk Maya and Pixar’s Renderman to create their first 3D short film, Perptuum Mobile. Combustion was also used to colour grade and composite the film.
Perpetuum Mobile is the first cinematographic project developed and produced exclusively by Silverspace’s writers and directors Enrique García and Raquel Ajofrín. The film is about Leonardo Da Vinci’s childhood and the events that motivated him to dedicate his life to the arts and sciences.
It has already received several awards including The XXXIV Audiovisual Awards of Liceo Casino de Vilagarcía, in the Spanish city Galicia, the Cinematographic Short Movies Festival of San Martín de la Vega in Madrid and the Cinema Festival of Bilbao. It was also nominated for awards at Artfutura 2006 and The Independent Cinema Festival of California.
Silverspace offers quality services to the entertainment industry, including photo-chemical lab processing, image retouching and colour correction. The technical and creative elements consist of scriptwriters, artists, designers and technology experts who have made Silverspace the leading company in the sector.
