BBC Resources Accept Pay Deal
BBC Resources members participating in a pay ballot have voted to accept a two year pay offer which includes a 4% increase in 2007 and 2% in 2008.
Just under 80% of Bectu members voted to accept the deal which has a minimum uplift of £1000 in the first year increase and will be backdated to April 2007.
Next April Resources staff will get a consolidated increase of £400, followed by a 2% rise in August 2008, which will set a new anniversary date for pay bargaining in the company.
The package includes above–inflation increases to London Weighting and an increase in the threshold for the higher amount from £22,000 to £25,000.
Those on less than £25,000 will see a rise of 7.5% to £4,000 London Weighting (currently £3,700); whilst those on £25,000 and above will see a rise of 4.8% to £3,468 LW (currently £3,300).
The package is currently being considered in a ballot by Siemens staff working on BBC contracts.
