WorldCast Range Of IP Audio Codecs To Debut At Broadcast Asia

APT’s Award-Winning WorldCast Range of IP Audio Codecs will be shown for the first time in Asia at the Broadcast Asia Exhibition in Singapore Expo from the 19 to 22 June.
Taking centre stage at APT’s stand will be the WorldCast Eclipse, the company’s new multi-algorithm, multi-interface stereo audio codec suitable for a wide range of radio and post-production applications. The WorldCast Eclipse combines IP, X.21/V.35 and ISDN interfaces with a wide range of major coding algorithms on a DSP-based platform to offer a professional platform for 24/7/365 mission critical audio delivery.
Also on show alongside the WorldCast Eclipse will be the entire WorldCast Range of IP Audio Codecs designed to deliver optimum audio performance and reliability over IP networks. These include the WorldCast Meridian, a multi-algorithm audio codec with both IP & X.21/V.35 interfaces and the WorldCast Horizon offering broadcast-grade audio.
Other product highlights at this year’s Broadcast Asia include the WorldNet Oslo, a multiple channel audio multiplexer for audio delivery over E1 / T1 and IP links which now offers the ability to send uncompressed linear audio for pure PCM quality, to compress the audio using MPEG 1/2 Layer II or to utilise companding techniques such as J.57 and J.41.
