APT To Showcase New WorldCast IP Codes At CABSAT

Audio codec and networking specialists, APT will showcase the new WorldCast range of Audio over IP codecs at Cabsat 2007 in Dubai.
While this will be the debut of WorldCast IP Codecs in the Middle East, the units have already been warmly received by many prominent broadcasters throughout the world. Over 300 WorldCast units have been supplied to the new FM broadcasters in India and substantial tender wins in Australia and Malaysia have also been secured.
"With an extensive installed base in the audio networks of many major and regional broadcasters worldwide, APT audio codecs are renowned for delivering exceptional quality audio with consistently high reliability in the synchronous environment," said Jon McClintock, Commercial Director. "With the launch of the WorldCast range, APT is offering the same quality and reliability to those broadcasters migrating to IP audio delivery."
Ranging from the entry-level WorldCast Horizon offering Enhanced apt-X coding over IP links to the richly featured, multi-algorithm WorldCast Eclipse offering IP, X.21 / V.35 and ISDN transport options, the WorldCast range offers a wide selection of codecs to suit many different applications and budgets.
Also at Cabsat 2007, APT will be displaying the the acclaimed WorldNet range of codecs for audio contribution and distribution over Leased Line, E1/T1 and ISDN and the WorldNet Oslo audio multiplexer for multiple-channel audio delivery.
The WorldNet Oslo enables the transport up to 28 mono or 14 stereo channels of high quality audio content over an E1/T1 or an IP link. Featuring redundant power supplies, back-up transport cards and auxiliary data capability, the unit offers a wide selection of audio modules offering analog, digital, duplex, simplex and 5.1 phase-lock options.
