Vinten Unveil New Ranges At NAB

Vinten camera support systems and accessories introduced a range of innovative products at NAB 2007.
The Protouch range, introduced primarily for those working in event videography with a highly functional range of professional equipment cost effective equipment, has been extended with the new Pro-6HDV pan and tilt system redesigned to offer even better value and performance to the professional lightweight camcorder user.
Compact and lightweight, the Pro-6HDV pan and tilt head is suitable for camera systems weighing up to 13.2 lbs (6kg). Key features include: continuously variable pan and tilt drag; “side load” camera attachment system for rapid attachment, positioning and detachment of the camera; new three-step (plus zero) counterbalance system; illuminated level bubble; multi-position pan bar; impressive +90o to -60o tilt range.
The Pro-6HDV comes with a standard 75mm bowl base and forms part of two new competitively priced system packages. Both systems are supplied with an industry standard Vinten Poziloc two-stage, rugged, black aluminium tripod; a durable system case; single fixed length bar with either a ground spreader or the new Protouch two-position telescopic mid-level spreader. This provides two levels of telescopic adjustment so the ideal tripod footprint can be achieved quickly and with excellent stability on any terrain.
The Vector range of heads for studio and OB production, adds the new Vector 950 and Vector 90 offer a truly future-proof package. They provide the camera operator improved picture control and overall performance in a smaller, more robust package.
Familiar Vector features, such as infinitely adjustable TF drag, tilt axis deadlock, illuminated leveling bubble, pan and tilt brake levers are all perfectly positioned for easy use. In addition, the new spring counterbalance system allows up to +/- 90o of perfectly counterbalanced camera tilt. The Vector 950 and Vector 90 are also relatively light and compact requiring minimal storage space. They are both easy to set up and reposition, as required.
Many broadcast organisations, production companies and AV specialists have previously avoided so-called portable prompting devices for many reasons, but primarily because of tricky set-up and dismantling and notoriously bulky, heavy equipment in numerous flight cases.
Now Vinten has created the ultimate portable prompting solution with the Vision iScript – designed to work with the mains/battery powered GoPrompt 12 system from Autoscript.
This highly compact, uniquely featured system makes portable prompting a viable option at last – with everything you need in one neat rolling case. The Vision iScript system offers convenience, durability, flexibility and true portability in two unique solutions.
