On-Air and Network to fill £3m Georgian contract

Imedi TV, a new television company based in Tbilisi, Georgia, will launch broadcast operations in early 2003 with the help of Network Electronics' VikinX routers.
The private channel will transmit general entertainment, news, current affairs and sports programming nationwide via terrestrial transmitters and satellite.
On-Air Systems, of London, a partner of Network Electronics and the broadcast automation systems company supplying automation solutions to Imedi TV, estimated the project at more than £3 million.
On-Air Systems specified the VikinX routers for the high level of flexibility they provide.
Network Electronics will supply eight VikinX audio and video routers of varying configurations.
