BBC To Commission Short Films For The One Show
The BBC is to spend £2.3m commissioning short films for The One Show from regional independents.
The live magazine series was piloted for four weeks last summer on BBC1 and has since been commissioned for a full 12-month run, with presenters Adrian Chiles and Nadia Sawalha.
The corporation is looking for 320 short films of between two and five minutes from and has asked for "life-affirming" factual ideas within in five areas.
These are:
The One Show starts this summer on BBC1 and will air five-nights-a-week in a 30-minute slot at 7pm.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 2 March at 12 noon.
