DayPort expand Carbon Publish at Sky News Active

DayPort has secured an order from Sky to expand the current Carbon Publish solution in Sky News Active at BSkyB in London.
The existing Carbon Publish system has been operational for the past 8 months and has now been expanded to accommodate the increased demand for content on new media platforms. This has been brought about by Sky’s recent announcement that Titan Outdoor will be switching news content on its national digital outdoor network of screens, known as Transvision, to Sky News.
The announcement means that Sky News, through DayPort’s Carbon Publish system, will be seen by more than three million people each week on 17 giant resolution screens located in Network Rail terminals across the UK. The expansion was completed by the end of January in time for the launch of Sky News on Transvision on February 1st.
The existing Carbon Publish solution at Sky News Active, was tailored to meet Sky’s workflow, operational and business requirements and is based upon Dayport’s Carbon Content Management platform. It provides Journalists at Sky News Active with single intuitive User Interface, integrated with the Quantel SQ production environment to seamlessly publish news related video to Sky’s new media platforms and content partners. The Dayport Carbon system is completely scalable and can very easily be expanded at anytime to accommodate the increasing demand for video and information on the expanding range of consumer devices and video platforms.
Based near Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, with additional sales offices in the USA and UK, DayPort has established itself as the international leader in providing Content Management, Content Delivery, Broadcast video IP streaming, Convergence and Workflow solutions.
