Clore Leadership Open Applications For New Fellowship
The Clore Leadership Programme has announced, that applications are open for a new Fellowship on their 2007/8 Programme.
With support from Skillset and the UK Film Council, this year’s Programme will offer a Fellowship in Film to an applicant working in the publicly funded agencies who support the work of the film industry.
The Film Fellow will have an individually tailored programme starting in September 2007, lasting a year or longer which will include two intensive residential leadership courses; professional development through mentoring, tuition and group learning; time for reflection, research and debate; and a period of secondment, including experience of managing a challenging project.
Lord (Chris) Smith of Finsbury, Director of the Clore Leadership Programme and Skillset Patron said: "The Clore Leadership Programme has already had remarkable success in helping to develop the skills and confidence of potential leaders across the world of the arts and culture. It's terrific news that we can now extend this to the world of the public agencies that support film. I hope we will get a flood of really good applicants for this opportunity."
Dinah Caine, CEO, Skillset stated: "Skillset are delighted to be supporting the Film Fellowship within the Clore Leadership Programme. This is a remarkable opportunity for an outstanding individual to develop their leadership skills, talent and confidence. This Fellowship can provide a major benefit for the successful candidate not only for their own career but for the film industry."
John Woodward, Chief Executive Officer of the UK Film Council added: "The UK Film Council is delighted to be supporting the Fellowship in Film which will give one talented individual from the publicly funded film agencies the opportunity to develop their skills and potential through an individually tailored programme. This is the first time such an opportunity has been made available specifically for publicly funded film agencies and I'm sure it will stimulate a great deal of interest."
