The two movies have been nominated for awards in the Best Drama and Best Horror categories:
- Fast Break - This hard-hitting drama about life on and off the basketball court was made by 15 young people, aged between 10 and 18, working with West Norwood's Fierce Productions. The film was made using approximately £10,000 of National Lottery funding through a First Light Movies Studio Award.
- The Looking Glass - This surreal and disturbing horror follows the story of a girl who finds herself in a nightmarish world following a car crash. It was made by a group of six 12 to 16-year-olds working with Brixton's Latimer Films. The First Light Movies Pilot Award gave £4,000 in funding for this project.
