Solid State Logic Announces Partnership With GearBox

Solid State Logic, a leading manufacturer of professional digital and analogue consoles, has announced a new strategic partnership with UK based professional systems hire & integration specialist GearBox.
The partnership will see GearBox become the world’s first company to offer a 48 channel Duality, the new SSL large format analogue music console, for hire as part of its popular complete mobile recording systems hire business. AWS900+ & XLogic will enable GearBox to add smaller analogue recording with integral DAW control solutions to its hire list with the added benefits of GearBox becoming an official SSL Reseller as part of its professional systems sales and integration business.
GearBox have purchased an impressive selection of SSL music production tools for their hire list; including a 48 channel Duality, two AWS900+’s with full TR & AWSOMATION, several XLogic X-Rack chassis complete with all of the modules required to configure them either as stand alone analogue summing mixers or as outboard dynamics processing solutions for their AWS900+ hire systems and a set of XLogic outboard processors including the new ‘Alpha-Channel’, ‘E-Signature Channel’ & the specialised 5.1 compression solution the ‘Multichannel Compressor’. In addition GearBox have also chosen to add the new range of XLogic I/O Solutions to their stock including the Delta-Link MADI HD unit which connects Pro Tools|HD directly to up to 128 channels of digital interconnection via MADI and the Alpha-Link MADI SX converter offering MADI to 24 channels of analogue A/D D/A & AES/EBU.
The partnership also sees GearBox specify a second console, a 72 channel Duality for their new ‘Cream’ large-scale audio production facility at their West London headquarters. GearBox already run a suite of 6 highly specified, individual studios named the ‘White Rooms’, hired primarily for TV and Film post-production at their HQ complex. The new ‘Cream’ studio represents a natural evolution for the success of the existing studio and rental business and sees the first installation of Duality into a large-scale recording & production studio targeted primarily at the professional Film & TV Scoring business.
